Synopsis of Funny Face

Maggie, the editor-in-chief of an American women's fashion magazine, advocates perfection and variety, and takes it as her own duty to lead the fashion of American women. However, the magazine has recently been facing a model shortage because they lack "thoughtful" heroines. Maggie and photographer Dick (Fred Astaire) and their team came to a bookstore to take pictures. They later discovered that the biggest gain of the trip was Miss Joe Stoughton (Audrey Hepburn), a bookstore clerk who promotes empathy. Joe had no interest in modeling at first, but agreed because he could travel to Paris to meet Professor Fras, a philosopher of empathy. Dick had a strong desire to create because of Joe. The two collaborated on a series of beautiful works, and their relationship also developed. Soon Joe met the professor as he wished, which made Dick quite uneasy.
