Synopsis of To Live and Die in L.A.

The film is adapted from a novel "Life and Death in Los Angeles" by former American intelligence agent Gerald Petovich. The plot describes Los Angeles police detective William Peterson who vows to avenge the tragic death of his partner at all costs. Later, he discovers that the murderer is William Dafoe, an oil painter who prints counterfeit money, and starts a violent cat-and-mouse game with him. The big chase.
