Synopsis of The Disguiser
The story takes place at a critical stage when the Anti-Japanese War is in full swing. The Wang puppet government surrenders to the enemy and treason. The people of China are in dire straits. The fate of the descendants of Yan and Huang is at stake. Ming Jing (played by Liu Mintao), the chairman of Shanghai Ming's Enterprise, is sincere and secretly funds the Chinese Communist Party. Her younger brother Minglou (played by Jin Dong) serves as an agent in the military command and his whereabouts are mysterious. The siblings' younger brother Mingtai (played by Hu Ge) is a well-educated poet and has no interest in politics. However, on his way to Hong Kong, he is kidnapped and recruited by Wang Tianfeng, a high-ranking military official. In desperation, Mingtai could only receive training incognito, and eventually became an agent at the Shanghai Station of the Military Command. In the following operations, he cooperated with Cheng Jinyun (played by Wang Lejun) of the CCP's anti-rape team, and the two also developed extraordinary trust and affection during the operation.
