Synopsis of The Voice of the Moon

The fantasy comedy "Sound of the Moon" is Fellini's posthumous work. The film is adapted from Cavazzoni's novel "Moon of Eccentrics". Savini, who has reached middle age but still retains an innocent heart, desperately wants to listen to the sound of the moon, but what he hears is the cheers of a group of voyeuristic men, the sudden dubbing of moans, and the rustling sound of a typhoon. As he climbed onto the roof to grab the moon, there was a commotion on the ground. In the end, the moon was still high in the sky without incident, and Savini talked to the moon... At first glance, this film seems absurd, purely based on ideas and images. It is a romantic and decadent work at the end of the century. Fellini used his usual techniques, especially with the help of symbols, metaphors and grotesques, to express the various encounters of many characters in life and their eccentric behaviors, profoundly revealing the absurdity of contemporary Italian social life, as well as its decline and disintegration. Omen, comedy genius Roberto Benigni showed amazing acting skills.
