Synopsis of The New Daughter

Due to the breakdown of his marriage, the frustrated novelist John James (Kevin Costner) takes his daughter Luisa (Ivana Baquero) and son Sam (Gattlin Griffith) ) moved to a country house in the small town of Moses, South Carolina, ready to start a new life. The parents' failed marriage has had a huge impact on the children. Louisa is sensitive and rebellious, Sam is timid and introverted, and John hopes that the quiet life in the country can heal the scars in the children's hearts. However, their peace did not last long. First, the pet cat at home was brutally killed. Then Louisa accidentally became fascinated by a strange Indian burial mound near their home, and then began to behave strangely. John accidentally learned that everything happening now may be related to the family of the former owner of the house...
