Synopsis of Women in Love
The story takes place in a small British town in the twentieth century. Guchun (Glenda Jackson) and Ursula (Jennie Linden) are two sisters who love each other. Their elder sister Guchun works as a teacher in school and has a strict and rigid personality. She had just returned to her hometown. As a liberal painter, she longed for an unfettered and arbitrary life. At a wedding, the two sisters met two men, Rupert (Alan Bates) and Gerald (Oliver Reed). Gu Chun and Rupert fell in love and entered into marriage hand in hand. At the same time, ambiguous feelings also developed between Ursula and Gerald. The four of them went to Switzerland for vacation, where Ursula met a romantic sculptor and fell in love with him. This was unacceptable to Gerrard.
