Synopsis of Impastor Season 1

This play describes the down-and-out gambler, drug addict and slacker Buddy Dobbs (Michael Rosenbaum) who comes to a remote town to avoid debt. He felt that he was at the end of his rope and had thoughts of suicide. Just as he was about to jump off a bridge, a priest stopped him in time. The unlucky priest slipped and fell off the bridge to his death. Buddy's eyes suddenly lighted up... Why not steal this priest's identity and start a "new life" in his name? So he came to a small town with close interpersonal relationships and lied to the locals that he was the newly appointed "gay pastor" of Loomis Lutheran Church. The locals actually believed him. He initially planned to run away with all the savings of the real pastor whose identity he had stolen, but the locals—including his own church assistant—liked him, and he kind of liked them too. He decided to give up the idea of escape and live with this new "reformed" image. "Treating" girls who are crazy about sex, stealing drugs from minors, reading Bible verses...his life is not too boring. How long will he keep this false identity...
