Synopsis of Persuasion
It is adapted from Jane Austen's novel "Persuasion". The second daughter of the Walter family, Anne (Sally Hawkins), is gentle, demure, well-educated, and a good girl with both political integrity and talent. However, at nearly 28 years old, she is still in the middle of nowhere - 8 years ago, Anne and her lover Wentworth ( Rupert Penry-Jones) entered into an engagement, but eventually chose to break up with her due to the "persuasion" of her elder Mrs. Russell (Alice Krige).
