Synopsis of Burn

Shum Jr. and Shiloh Fernandez have joined the new thriller "Plume", starring Josh Hutcherson, Suki Waterhouse, and Tilda Cobham-Harvey, and written and directed by Chinese-American Mike Gan. The story follows Melinda (Harvey), a lonely, emotionally unstable gas station attendant who's fed up with being overshadowed by her more confident, outgoing co-worker Sheila (Waterhouse), when a desperate man, Billy (Waterhouse), needs cash. Hutcherson holds a gas station at gunpoint, Melinda finds an opportunity to connect with him, regardless of whether anyone is hurt. Harry Shum plays Police Officer Liu, a man of good moral character and integrity who is obsessed with Melinda. Fernandez plays Perry, Sheila's boyfriend, who is inadvertently involved in her dangerous game. This is the first feature film directed by Mike Gan. His previous short film "NoEvil" was screened at the Toronto Film Festival and the Palm Springs Film Festival.
