Synopsis of The City of Violence

Detective Jung Tae-soo (played by Jung Doo-hong) of the Seoul Crime Squad receives the news of the death of his friend Oh Wang-jae, so he rushes back to his hometown he has not been close to in ten years. At the funeral, Zheng Taixiu reunited with his former friends Jang Bihu, Donghuan and Seok Huan (played by Ryu Seung-wan). It turned out that the five of them were good friends when they were students. Jang Bihu, who was already a gang brother, vowed to avenge Wang Cai. Tae Soo also felt that Wang Cai's death was not as simple as a gangster causing trouble.
