Synopsis of Tropical Fish
In the tense and hot summer when Taipei City is about to enter the college entrance examination, Liu Zhiqiang fantasizes about taking the girl he has a crush on to Green Island to ride a submarine and swim under the sea, dreaming about "tropical fish". After another mock test result that disappointed his parents, he accidentally saw a kidnapping case on TV and tried to rescue the child alone, but he didn't expect to be arrested instead. The kidnapper A-Qing (played by Lin Zhengsheng) is a wage earner who came to Taipei from the countryside. After the blackmail failed, he took his two children home. Ah Qing's family lives a difficult but happy life. While they are carefully arranging the lives of their two children, they are also trying to figure out how to obtain a high amount of money for kidnapping. Ah Qing even found the unused books of his sister Ah Juan, who had dropped out of school, so that Liu Zhiqiang could continue to review.
