Synopsis of The Old Curiosity Shop

The tragic story of Turrent, the owner of an old antique shop, and his beautiful and kind-hearted granddaughter Little Nell. In order for his granddaughter, who was not yet 14 years old, to live a happy life after his death, Torent tried his best to get rich, but unexpectedly fell into the clutches of Daniel Quilp, an upstart loan shark. Quilp, a greedy vampire, used loan sharks to not only take away all the property of the old antique shop, but also wanted to take away the beautiful little Nell. The grandfather and grandson were forced to flee London and lived a life of begging and wandering. In the end, Xiao Nai'er, who was physically and mentally injured, died due to mental exhaustion.
