Synopsis of The Holding

In a remote and quiet town in England, on endless pastures, live Cathy (Kierston Wareing) and his two daughters Hannah (Skye Lourie) and Amy (Maisie Lloyd). The whereabouts of Cathy's husband, Dean, are unknown. Over the years, she has single-handedly supported the farm and raised their two daughters. Today, the sluggish market situation and her increasingly rebellious daughter gradually make her feel powerless. At the same time, her neighbor Carsten (Terry Stone) has evil intentions and always wants to buy her farm. Just as Cathy (Georgia Groome) is exhausted, Aden (Vincent Regan), who claims to be Dean's friend, comes to the farm to help. Depression, terror, gloom, and all kinds of uneasiness surround the farm, driving everyone here into madness... The film won the Best Director Award at the 2012 Portugal International Fantasy Film Festival.
