Synopsis of The Princess and the Pirate

Margaret (Virginia Mayo) is a princess of noble birth. Although she leads a wealthy and luxurious life with no worries about food and clothing, Margaret does not feel happy. Because she cannot freely choose her own feelings, but must obey the king's arrangements. By chance, Margaret met an actor named Sabath (played by Bob Hope) on a merchant ship. At this time, an accident happened. The greedy Captain Iron Horse (Victor McLaglen) hijacked a merchant ship and kidnapped Princess Margaret to demand a huge ransom. In order to save Margaret, Sabath even disguised himself as a woman and even married the pirate Featherhead (Walter Brennan). Featherhead had long been dissatisfied with Captain Iron Horse's dictatorial rule, and ordered Sabath to steal the treasure map.
