Synopsis of The Newsroom Season 1

The play tells the story behind the scenes of a fictional television station called "Atlantis Cable News" (ACN for short). Will McAvoy (Jeff Daniels) is a senior news host who brings high ratings to the ACN TV network's eight o'clock flagship program "Nightly News". dissatisfied. When he returned to the office from vacation, he found that most of his subordinates were going to find other jobs and were poached collectively. McAvoy's boss, Charlie Skinner (played by Sam Waterston), the head of the ACN TV network's news department, has excellent vision and news ideals. He knows how to save a news program, and his vision is amazingly accurate.
