Synopsis of Seventh Moon

Melissa (Amy Smart) and Chinese-American Yulin (Tim Chiou) are newlyweds from the United States. They chose their honeymoon location in Yulin's hometown, a county in Guangdong, China. The foreign culture made Melissa, a native American girl, curious and surprised, but maybe they picked the wrong time. It is the seventh month of the lunar calendar, and the Chinese Ghost Festival is approaching. Local tour guide Ping (Dennis Chan) drove the two to their home in Yulin. In the dead of night, the road was winding. Ping, who was unfamiliar with the place, lost his direction and came to a strange village. Ping got out of the car and asked for directions, but he never came back. The couple was extremely anxious, so they got out of the car to search. They found nothing, but were driven out of their minds by the terrifying screams. The two drove away, experiencing constant dangers along the way. Melissa once talked about the legend of the Starving Devil in peace, but when the door of hell is wide open, it seems that the Starving Devil is not just a legend...
