Synopsis of Gook

In Los Angeles in 1992, Korean-American brothers Avery and Daniel tried their best to keep their father's shoe store business, and the 11-year-old African-American girl Gan Mena unexpectedly became their best friend. When Gamena's brother discovered that she was closely associated with those "Orientals", he plotted to obstruct and retaliate; at the same time, after the verdict of the police beating of black man Rodney King and the acquittal of four police officers accused of using excessive force, Violence in the city escalates, provoking inter-ethnic conflicts, and riots inevitably impact their world.
