Gintama: The Movie 劇場版 銀魂 新訳紅桜篇

Synopsis of Gintama: The Movie

The story takes place in Japan's Edo period. A mysterious man appears in front of the samurai Katsura Kotaro (voiced by Akira Ishida). He holds the demon sword "Benizakura" and asks to test the sword. After that night, Katsura's whereabouts are unknown. Katsura's pet Elizabeth (voiced by Shinji Takamatsu) found Kagura (voiced by Rie Kugimiya) and Shinpachi (voiced by Daisuke Sakaguchi) from the Master House and commissioned them to find the whereabouts of their owner. At the same time, Gintoki (Tomokazu Sugita) was also entrusted with finding the whereabouts of Benizakura, who was doing evil everywhere. The clues of the three people converged on an airship. Because it was far away from the jurisdiction of the police, the evil forces in the airship covered the sky with one hand. There, Gintoki met his former comrade-in-arms and current rival, Takasugi Shinsuke (voiced by Takehito Zi'an). Takasugi was leading his own ghost army in an attempt to destroy Edo. With vicious terrorists on one side and the cruel and bloodthirsty demon sword Benizakura on the other, can Gintoki, who was seriously injured, escape safely and save Edo? This theatrical version remakes the "Benizakura Arc" from the "Gintama" anime. Among them, the Shinsengumi who did not appear in the original work will also show their talents in the story.
