Synopsis of The Spectacular Now

High school student Sutter (Miles Teller) is uneducated and loves to drink and pick up girls. His classmates treat him as a joke. After his girlfriend Cassidy dumped him to be with the student body president, he not only drank a lot, but also drove drunk. When he woke up in the morning, he found himself lying on the lawn of Aimee's house. Aimee (Shailene Woodley) is different from Sutter. She is a girl who studies seriously. She lives with her mother and stepfather. She loves reading science fiction novels and has never had a boyfriend. The two people, who were originally incompatible with each other, had a strange intersection. Sutter asked Aimee to help her with math tutoring, and Aimee readily agreed. The relationship between the two people quickly heated up, and they shared each other's youth together. However, after graduation, Aimee will go to Philadelphia to study; the two young people also have their own family problems. How will they move towards tomorrow?
