Synopsis of The South

In the eyes of the little girl Estrea (played by Sonsoles Aranguren), her father Augustine (played by Omero Antonutti) is an all-powerful hero. Under his healthy and strong body, he has an omniscient and omnipotent intelligence. Brain, he will always be young and always strong, but is this really the case? Estrella never knew what kind of past her father had. The only thing she knew was that the south was her father's hometown and destination. In the blink of an eye, Estrella (Icíar Bollaín) is already a 15-year-old girl. As she grows older, her father's image is slowly changing. The frequent frown shows Augustine's fragility and melancholy. The exposure of his secret lover even made him lose his minimum loyalty as a husband. Estrella saw all this, and many questions lingered in her mind, but she was not in a hurry to ask questions, because she understood that that moment would come sooner or later.
