Synopsis of You Disappear

Denmark's selection for the 2018 Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film, the film review tells the story of a private school principal who is accused of stealing 12 million Danish crowns. Frederik is the principal of a private school, and his wife Mia is also a teacher at the school. They have an adolescent son, Niklas. During a family trip, Frederik suddenly lost control while driving, which frightened the mother and son. Afterwards, Frederik went to the hospital and was found to have a benign brain tumor, which compressed the nerves and caused his behavior to be uncontrollable. Not long after, Frederik was accused of embezzling public funds by the school. Facing prosecution, Frederik's lawyer decided to use his brain tumor as a defense, trying to prove that Frederik's improper behavior of embezzling public funds was caused by his illness and was not under his personal control. During this process, Mia also began to examine her relationship with her husband. After three years of happy marriage, was her husband's cheating caused by personal will or a tumor?
