Synopsis of Black Sails Season 1

The play is a prequel to the classic novel "Treasure Island". The story takes place "20 years before" the time of the novel, when Captain Flint (Toby Stephens) and his "Walrus" had not yet become famous. The show will be filmed in Cape Town, South Africa, and is initially scheduled to be broadcast in 2014 (filling the gap after the end of the "Spartacus" trilogy). The first season will be 8 episodes.
