Synopsis of The Stepford Wives

After moving from Manhattan to the upscale residential area of Stave, Joanna (Nicole Kidman) and her husband (Matthew Broderick) were ready to start a new life. Joanna originally wanted to build a good relationship with her neighbors, but the characters of all the neighbor wives were almost perfect, making Joanna feel that they could not get close to them. Among these wealthy ladies, there was only one exception, Barbie. She was a normal person in Joanna's eyes, and the two of them became good friends. Other wives are busy taking care of their husbands every day and obeying their husbands. Both Joanna and Barbie were very curious as to why the neighbor ladies seemed to have no tempers and preferences of their own. So they decided to investigate, and the investigation results surprised them. Rich men actually turned their wives into robots in order to make their wives obedient. There is an "open secret" behind these half-human, half-machine wives. Such evil hands are gradually reaching out to Joanna and Barbie. How will they deal with it?
