Synopsis of Rose

Rose (played by Maggie Cheung) is an innocent and beautiful girl with many suitors around her. And her only relative, her brother (played by Chow Yun-fat), takes great care of her. It wasn't until she met the engaged Zhuang Guodong that she truly realized the pain of loving someone. Rose decided to stay away from the sad place of Hong Kong, so regardless of her brother's reluctance, she flew to Paris to study and marry another woman. Until her brother fell ill and passed away, the divorced Rose returned to Hong Kong again and met Fu Jiaming (Chow Yun-fat), who cared for her in every possible way. Just when she put on her wedding dress again, the bad news came again... This film is adapted from "The Story of Rose" by Yi Shu.
