Synopsis of Manon of the Spring

Manon (Emmanuelle Béart) is a shepherdess who wanders in the mountains and forests. Under her gentle and beautiful appearance, she hides a tragic past. Manon's father died in a conspiracy, and the culprits were the uncle and nephew Pabit (played by Yves Montand) and Grint (played by Daniel Auteuil). By chance, Grint saw Manon taking a bath. Unaware of the truth, he was deeply fascinated by Manon's beauty. However, at this time, Manon had already met the teacher Belaid (Hippolite Girardot). Hippolyte Girardot (played by Special Hippolyte Girardot) is in love. Manon gradually learned the truth about her father's death.
