Synopsis of Braveheart

When William Wallace was a child, his father, Scottish national hero Maso Wallace, died fighting the British army. He began to receive instruction from his father's friends and learn Scottish culture and martial arts. Young Wallace (Mel Gibson) returned to his hometown after studying and proposed to the beautiful girl Mellen, but he did not want Mellen to be snatched away by the British army and killed. In the voice of the villagers "Queen of Heroes", Wallace led the crowd to revolt and formed an alliance with the Scottish noble Robert. However, he soon discovered that the Scottish nobles only considered their own interests. In order to ease the situation, the British King sent Isabella (Sophie Marceau) to negotiate with Wallace. Because the British King only wanted to bribe Wallace and did not care about the freedom and equality of the Scottish people, the negotiations failed. However, this failed. None of this was known to Isabella. After Isabella returned to the country, she discovered the truth of the matter and knew that the King of England was planning a dirty trick, so she hurriedly sent a letter to Wallace. The love between the two also quietly grew amidst the war and conspiracy.
