Synopsis of Good Morning Show

The middle-aged man Sumita Shingo (played by Nakai Kiichi) is the host of a morning show on a certain TV station. He was once a gold medal host, but his career was hampered due to his inappropriate behavior at the disaster relief scene. But now that the year is unfavorable and Mercury is retrograde, many unexpected troubles are coming to your door one after another. At three o'clock in the morning, Sumita had a quarrel with his wife and children. On the way to the TV station, her partner Keiko Ogawa (Masami Nagasawa) threatened to expose the "truth" that the two were dating on TV. When I got to the stage, I was informed by my friends that the show would be cut in half. While he dealt with Keiko carefully, he also broadcast the program with trepidation. At the same time, a cafe in the city was hijacked by a gangster (played by Hamada Gaku). The other party named Sumita and asked Sumita to come to the scene for negotiations.
