Synopsis of The Ice Storm

1973 In Connecticut, USA, Thanksgiving Day is about to come, and an ice storm is about to come. The ordinary and boring family life makes the middle-aged couple tired. The husband Ben Hood (played by Kevin Kline) has been seducing his neighbor Janet Harper, and the wife (played by Joan Allen) has long since stopped lying to her husband. Impatient. Son Paul (played by Tobey Maguire) is obsessed with the most popular girl in school. Daughter Wendy (Christina Ricci) is interested in the Watergate hearings on TV. On the night of the ice storm, the couple went to a friend's house for a cocktail party. An important part of the cocktail party was the game of changing room keys. After the drinking party, each wife can form a new love with a man from another family. And their son rushed to face a temptation and test, while their daughter was intoxicated in sexual games with the boy next door...
