Synopsis of The Chi Season 1

Showtime booked the new drama "Chicago Story The Chi" in early January, which is co-produced by Lena Waithe, Elwood Reid, Common, Aaron Kaplan's Kapital Entertainment company and Fox21 TV Studios. The pilot episode of this drama was filmed last year, but it was only booked for reshoots. The show premiered on January 7, 2018, US time. This play, written by Lena Waithe and directed by Rick Famuyiwa, tells the unique story of six interconnected characters in the South Side of Chicago. The characters include Kevin (played by Alex R. Hibbert), a 13-year-old boy who is confident and able to live in a harsh environment. Originally, his life was very simple, including being infatuated with a girl in his class, having a group of friends in the neighborhood, and hoping for someone. Days leave the South Side.
