Synopsis of Dream Eater
High school student Makoto Takashi (played by Takeru Sato), who is good at painting, is stalked by his bright-minded classmate Akito Takagi (played by Ryunosuke Kamiki) one day. The other person claims to love comics very much, but has no drawing ability. Qiu Ren hopes to enter the comics industry with his best partner. The eldest uncle, Taro Kawaguchi (played by Kankuro Miyafuji), was once a slightly famous cartoonist, but he died young due to overwork and being cut off from serialization, which made young people fully aware of the cruelty of this industry. Unable to withstand Qiu Ren's instigation, Gao Gao finally gave in. The two chose to self-recommend and targeted the prestigious weekly "JUMP" under Shueisha, and were initially recognized by editor Tetsuya Hattori (played by Takayuki Yamada). At the same time, the genius high school student Shinzuma Eiji (played by Shota Sometani) turns out to be a genius, prompting the two to desperately compete with him.
