Synopsis of Platoon

Taylor (played by Charlie Sheen) was an American college student during the Vietnam War. He went to the Vietnam front line to perform military service and was assigned to an infantry unit. There are two people in the army who have always had a great influence on him-Elias (Willem Dafoe) and Barnes (Tom Berenger). The two of them have completely different views on war. The former cannot bear to kill innocent people, while the latter kills people like crazy. Taylor is very confused as to who has the correct view of war. Barnes carried out a brutal massacre, and the entire village in Vietnam was bleeding into rivers. Elias urged his friends not to be so cruel, but this caused a rift in their relationship. Barnes further suspected that Elias had reported to his boss, and the friendship turned into jealousy. So, in a jungle war, he went behind everyone's back and pulled the trigger on Elias. Taylor had an insight into all this, and he finally had the answer in his heart.
