Diane (Sigourney Weaver) is a wildlife expert who specializes in studying chimpanzees. In order to better observe and get close to chimpanzees, Diane sneaked alone into the primeval forest in the Fran Mountains of Rwanda, Africa. Chimpanzees are very ferocious and wild, which means that Diane's life may be at risk every minute and every second she stays with them. As time went by, the distance between Diane and the chimpanzees became closer and closer. By imitating their calls and habits, Diane gradually gained the trust and recognition of the chimpanzees, and also discovered a lot of precious information and materials. In the virgin forest, poachers were very rampant. Diane had been fighting them unremittingly throughout her life, and therefore made many enemies. One day, people found Diane's body in her room. The evidence showed that The great scientist died of murder.
