Synopsis of The Leisure Seeker

The film is adapted from the novel of the same name by Michael Zadoorian. It tells the story of a seriously ill old couple who drove an old RV from Massachusetts to Hemingway's former residence and reviewed their lives during the journey. John is a literature teacher and writer, a diehard fan of Hemingway. Although Alzheimer's disease has made his memory worse and worse, and he even forgets the names of his wife and children, he can still talk about all Hemingway's works casually. "The Old Man and the Sea" is his favorite. Because his wife Ella was seriously ill and needed to be hospitalized, John had no choice but to enter a nursing home. The two people who had spent a lifetime together faced a future of being separated forever. So, they made a crazy decision, determined to drive a RV named "Leisure Seeker" and travel south from Massachusetts to review the vacation they took with their children in the 1970s. Their destination was West Lock. Hemingway's former home on Keywest Island.
