Synopsis of Heartbreak Ridge

Tom Heway is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. In 1983, he was one of the longest serving members of the Marine Corps. He served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars and was awarded the Medal of Honor at Heartbreak Ridge in the Korean War. The first platoon of the elite force needs the cooperation of the second platoon for military training. Haiwei's task is to rectify the discipline of the second platoon. He contemptuously called the recruits in the second platoon "ma'am", and the unconvinced recruits often made it difficult for him to get off the stage. Haiwei's private life was not smooth either: his wife Aji, who worked as a waitress near the military camp, divorced him, and Haiwei divorced him.
