Synopsis of Journey to the West

A huge stone in Huaguo Mountain in the Aolai Kingdom of Dongsheng China gave birth to a bright stone monkey (played by Liu Xiaolingtong). The stone monkey later worshiped Subhuti as his teacher and learned the seventy-two transformations, and acquired the ability to reach the sky. So he took over the mountain and became the king, calling himself the Monkey King. The Jade Emperor sent Taibai Jinxing down to earth to recruit the Great Sage to heaven. Later, the Great Sage made a fuss in the Heavenly Palace because he felt that the official position conferred by the Jade Emperor was too low. He was trapped in the alchemy furnace by Taishang Laojun. Forty-nine days later, the Great Sage kicked the alchemy over. Furnace, forged into golden eyes and fiery eyes. Seeing that the situation was uncontrollable, Tathagata Buddha suppressed the Great Sage at the foot of Wuzhi Mountain. Five hundred years passed in the blink of an eye. Tang Seng was selected by Guanyin Bodhisattva to go west to obtain Buddhist scriptures to save all sentient beings. The Great Sage was guided by Guanyin and worshiped Tang Monk as his teacher. The master and his disciples embarked on the journey to obtain Buddhist scriptures.
