An Enemy to Die For

Synopsis of An Enemy to Die For

In 1912, German scientist Alfred Wegener proposed a theory that all the continents on the earth were once connected together. He called this huge continent "Pangaea". Despite the raging war in the autumn of 1939, the Germans decided to send a marine expedition to find more evidence to support Wegener's theory. The expedition to Svalbard, the heart of the Arctic, was led by German geologist Friedrich and his assistant Leni. There are also three well-known scientists in the team, two Britons and Gustav from Sweden; the Norwegian captain leads the crew from Russia. Although the captain is ambitious about the results of this expedition, the different political positions of different countries gradually begin to affect the investigation work. Gustav and Leni announced their love on the night Hitler invaded Poland, which undoubtedly made the journey more complicated. When Britain and France declared war on Germany, this group of civilian scientists felt they had been drawn into the vortex of a world war...
