Synopsis of lonely soul

In the Landes province of France in 1928, the beautiful and unruly Therese Lahoque (played by Audrey Tautou) married her good friend Ann Deguihou (played by Anaïs Demoustier). Brother Bernard (Gilles Lellouche). Beneath her calm exterior, she was as wild as a wild horse on the inside. She once longed for marriage to calm the storm in her heart, but instead she fell into deeper loneliness and depression. Ann fell in love with Jean Azivedo (Stanley Weber), a young man with a family disease, but was strongly opposed by the family. Perhaps only Therese, with complex emotions, was willing to deal with it for her. Therese's eyes became colder and colder, and her words became more intense. She had already despaired of a marriage that seemed prosperous but was actually lifeless, and she was walking towards the abyss of eternal destruction... The film is adapted from the novel of the same name written by Nobel Prize winner Francois Mauriac based on real events.
