Synopsis of Coroner Season 1
Serinda Swan will star in the CBC drama "Coroner" created by Morwyn Brebner. Inspired by M.R. Hall's best-selling series of novels, the show focuses on a newly appointed coroner investigating bizarre deaths in Toronto. The series will be produced in the Toronto area at the end of this summer and will premiere on CBC in the winter of 2019. Serinda Swan will play the title character Jenny Cooper, a coroner who is courageous and determined, but emotionally fragile, and has a perseverance in pursuing the truth. Jenny used to be an emergency doctor, but she was recently widowed and left alone with her children; the death of her loved one opened up the original connection with death, tightly connecting the secrets of her past. She loves her son more than life and tries her best to raise him while also taking care of herself.
