Synopsis of Rails & Ties
Train driver Tom Stark (Kevin Bacon)'s wife Megan (Marcia Gay Harden) is terminally ill with breast cancer, but out of his love for trains, he still worries about trains. Take up your duties and board the Stargazer bound for Seattle. The train passed through a place called Simil Valley. A local single mother, Laura (played by Bonnie Root), was desperate for life, so she took her son David (played by Miles Heizer) and drove onto the center of the tracks, trying to suicide. The speeding train takes away Laura's life, and David becomes alone. After this, Tom was suspended for review, and his relationship with Megan became increasingly tense. One day, Megan learned about the car accident on TV. She began to get close to David, and the two broken families were connected in this way... This film is the directorial debut of Allison, the daughter of the famous actor and director Clint Eastwood.
