# Synopsis of The Black Cannon Incident

Zhao Shuxin (played by Liu Zifeng) is an engineer in a mining company. He is loyal and hard-working. Playing chess is one of Zhao Shuxin's few hobbies. He cherishes his chess pieces very much. However, when he returned from a business trip, he found that he had lost one of his chess pieces. In desperation, he went to the post office in the rain and sent a "Black Cannon" letter. Lost the telegram "301 Looking for Zhao" to the hotel, looking for the chess pieces. Unexpectedly, this telegram aroused suspicion from the post office and reported it to the Public Security Bureau for investigation, which turned into a so-called "black artillery incident." Affected by this incident, Zhao Shuxin was transferred from his original position and was even prevented from participating in ongoing German cooperation projects. The company replaced Zhao Shuxin, an expert who was proficient in German, with Feng Liangcai, a travel translator. The progress and quality of the project were significantly affected. The movie "Black Cannon Incident" won the Outstanding Feature Film Award of the Ministry of Radio, Film and Television, and the 6th China Film Golden Rooster Award for Best Actor (Liu Zifeng).
