# Synopsis of Hidden Man

On the eve of the July 7th Incident, young Chinese-American Hendler (played by Eddie Peng) traveled across the ocean from the United States and returned to Peking, where he had been away for more than ten years, to practice medicine. However, his real name is Li Tianran. When he was thirteen years old, he witnessed his master's family being exterminated by his senior brother Zhu Qianlong (played by Liao Fan) and the Japanese Neichiro (played by Sawada Kenya). Tian Tian, who had a lucky escape, was sent to the other side of the ocean by the American Doctor Hendler and received extremely rigorous training. Now he sets foot on his homeland with a top-secret mission. Hendler and his son rent the house of a mysterious man named Lan Qingfeng (played by Jiang Wen). Lan was a participant in the Revolution of 1911. He had a close relationship with Zhu Qianlong, now the police chief, but he secretly used the killing of Li Tianran as a bargaining chip. Encourage Zhu to get rid of Neichiro. The revengeful Li Tianran found his enemy, while Dr. Hendler tried his best to prevent his adopted son from taking risks. In this process, the social butterfly Tang Fengyi (played by Xu Qing) and the tailor Guan Qiaohong (played by Zhou Yun) are also involved in the whirlpool of men's intrigues. Until the July 7th Incident broke out, all the contradictions ushered in the moment of decision... This film is adapted from Zhang Beihai's novel "Xia Yin".
