Synopsis of The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie

Jane (Maggie Smith) is a female teacher full of charm and enthusiasm. Although she is in a girls' school with strict school regulations, in her class, there is no boring teaching according to the script, but only her inner feelings. It releases the praise and yearning for beauty and power. Jane is particularly passionate about politics. Pure and romantic, she admires the radicalness and purity of fascism and instills this idea in her students. Unexpectedly, her reckless attitude indirectly leads to the death of one student. On the other hand, Jane, who does not follow common sense, has always been a thorn in the side of the conservative and rigid principal Miss McKay (Celia Johnson). She is eager to find an excuse to drive this big trouble out of the school. When a student she loved and trusted knocked on her office door, Miss McKay knew her opportunity had come.
