Synopsis of Cash on Demand

Christmas is approaching, and the employees of a colonial bank branch in a certain city are busy while waiting for the arrival of the holiday. The head of the bank, Fords (played by Peter Cushing), is a serious and old-fashioned man who is extremely mean to his subordinates and even his family. This morning, Fords received an uninvited guest, who claimed to be an official of the Home and Business Insurance Company, named Colonel Hepburn (André Morell). Fords was respectful to him, fearing to disobey this serious and flamboyant official. But he soon learned that Hepburn turned out to be a bank robber. Hepburn seemed to have taken Fordus' wife and children hostage, and threatened their lives to force Fordus to hand over the $97,000 he had in the bank. In order to protect his wife and children, the always arrogant Fords had to bow his head and became Hepburn's accomplice...
