Synopsis of For N

On Christmas Eve in 2004, Takahiro Noguchi (Yoshimi Tokui) and his wife Naoko (Manami Konishi) were both killed in a high-end apartment. There were four panicked young people at the scene: Nozomi Sugishita (Nana Eikura) ), Shinji Naruse (played by Masataka Kubota), Nozomi Ando (played by Kento Kaku) and Masato Nishizaki (played by Keisuke Koide). Nishizaki finally pleaded guilty and was imprisoned for ten years. Retired detective Takano Shigeru (played by Miura Tomokazu) who once served as a police station on a small island in the Seto Inland Sea has many questions about the case. Nozomi and Shinji, who were born on the island at that time, were involved in a mysterious fire incident. Nozomi and Ando are college classmates, and they rent the same apartment as Nishizaki. Inextricably linked to the four young people and the Noguchi couple, everyone has an "N" that needs to be protected. They used lies to weave a complicated puzzle of love and hate... This film is adapted from the original work by Kanae Minato.
