Synopsis of Match Point

In order to change his destiny, poor boy Wilton (Jonathan Rhys Myles) came to London from Ireland to work as a tennis coach. He vowed to use his tennis skills to get into the upper class society that has a special liking for the sport. After getting acquainted with Tom, the son of a wealthy family, he got a chance. The other person's sister Croy (Emily Mortimer) fell in love with him at first sight. Later, with the help of the other person's father, Wilton successfully blended into the upper class society. Just when he was about to discuss marriage with Croy, Wilton met Tom's girlfriend, the American actress Nora (Scarlett Johansson), who was also making unremitting efforts to enter the upper class. Similar experiences made the two develop true feelings, but Wilton did not give up his plan for Nora. After all his dreams came true, Wilton reunited with Nora, who had broken up with Tom. The two rekindled their old relationship, and Wilton began to deal with her and his wife. Soon, Nora became pregnant and refused to have an abortion, and Wilton ushered in a turning point in his life.
