Synopsis of Amen.

Based on the stage play "The Deputy" by German writer Rolf Hochhuth, SS Captain Kurt Gerstein was deeply shocked when he discovered that the chemicals he synthesized to purify water sources turned into murder gas, and wanted to report this crime to a neutral country or the Holy See. Catholic priest Riccardo is the only one willing to help him. However, the power of the two people not only failed to prevent the tragedy from happening, but also became victims under the wheel of history.
