Synopsis of The Affair of the Necklace

The story takes place at the end of the eighteenth century. Jeanne (Hilary Swank) was an aristocratic lady born with a golden spoon in her mouth. Unexpectedly, her family fell into decline and all her family property and industry were taken away. Jeanne, who fell from the altar, was inevitably bullied and humiliated, but she endured it all silently because she knew that one day she would take back what she had lost with her own hands. By chance, Jeanne met a man named Roang (Simon Baker). Rohan is a man who doesn't have much ability, but is extremely eager for power and money. Jeanne uses Rohan's human weakness to formulate an exquisite plan. Louis XVI (played by Simon Shackleton) only made a priceless necklace and gave it to his beloved queen (played by Joely Richardson). This necklace became Jeanne's goal.
