Synopsis of Days of Heaven

At the beginning of the 20th century, Bill (Richard Gere) was a worker in the factory. He had to leave the factory because of a fight, and left Chicago with his girlfriend Abby (Brooke Adams) and sister Linda. Got a job harvesting wheat on a wheat field in Texas. Bill and Abby pretend to be brother and sister. A young farmer (Sam Shepard) and the owner of the farm is attracted to Abby. At the same time, he discovers that he is terminally ill. In order to steal the farmer's property, Bill asked Abby to marry the farmer. Unexpectedly, in getting along day after day, Abby also fell in love with the farmer. On the other hand, Abby and Bill's unusual interactions also made the farmer extremely unhappy. So Bill left the wheat field. After a while, Bill came back again. The farmer finally couldn't bear it anymore and walked towards Bill with a gun... The film won the Oscar for Best Cinematography, and was nominated for Best Costumes, Best Original Sound, etc.
