Synopsis of For Whom the Bell Tolls

The background is the Spanish Civil War in 1937. Robert, a university teacher from the United States, went to Spain to help the local people fight fascism like Bethune. After completing the task of bombing the train, he was assigned a new task: to join forces with the spontaneously formed guerrillas to blow up the iron bridge over the canyon. He met and fell in love with the beautiful Maria. Maria is the daughter of the mayor, but her parents were killed by the fascists, and Maria was also insulted. Catalyzed by their common ideals, they fell in love, but Robert died in this battle.
