Synopsis of Children of the Corn

Young lovers Burton (played by Peter Horton) and Vicky (played by Linda Hamilton) travel through the town of Gatlin, Nebraska, and they find the body of a child on the road. In order to call the police, the two drove into the town of Gatlin, only to find that the situation in the town was even weirder: it seemed to be a kingdom of children, and all adults were missing. The children all obeyed a little boy named Essek (John Franklin), who claimed to be a messenger of God. Where have the adults in the town gone? What secrets are hidden behind the children's malicious eyes? Can Burton and Vicky finally make it out of the town alive? The film won the Best Fantasy Film Award at the 1984 Brussels International Fantasy Film Festival.
